Desktop Metal has launched a “shop system” that implements batch scale manufacturing in their workshops. Claimed as the most efficient workflow from the company yet, it incorporates a single-pass system with high-quality binder jetting technology - with the precision of just 16 microns per drop, the highest 3-D printing resolution currently on the market. The printer system can produce up to 70kg or 150 lbs of steel per day.
This innovation is welcomed growth to add to the rapid upscaling they have experienced since their start in 2015. Their first two product offerings in came in 2017 and 2019, the Studio System and the Production System, which use two different processes of 3-D printing in a cost effective and more office friendly form.
