TemperPack had a patent granted this week for an expandable shipping container that includes an environmentally friendly barrier. This is TemperPack's second patent document in the biodegradable packing sector, however, this is most likely only the beginning of TemperPack's activity in the space. TemperPack is known for ClimaCell®, an insulating material that is a certified curbside recyclable and has recently secured new investments totaling $31.3 million. Additionally, the company is extending its goals beyond food and life-sciences markets into a European market and to the furniture packaging market. For its long term plan, the company sees any market that uses styrofoam or plastic foam as a potential target. COVID-19 has required companies to improve their shipping operations with a focus on improving temperature-controlled shipping material. Therefore, companies such as TemperPack should continue to grow.
