Ebb Therapeutics has developed a cooling headband to help consumers manage their sleeplessness from too much brain activity. The fluid-filled headband wraps around a person’s head and monitors the metabolic energy in the frontal cortex. Using the metabolic energy data, the headband is equipped with a cooling algorithm to reduce the temperature in order to limit metabolic activity in the frontal cortex.
Ebb Therapeutics faces competition in the sector from Sleep Number and Eight Sleep, as well as from companies with temperature regulation devices, including Kryo (makers of the ChiliPAD and OOLER) and BedJet.
