Ebb Therapeutics, a Pittsburgh-based company that develops solutions for poor sleep, has been endorsed by SleepScore Labs after new studies that back Ebb's wearable sleep device were published earlier this year. SleepScore Labs is a company that tests and curates new sleep technology, only backing products that have been scientifically validated in peer-reviewed journals.
Ebb's CoolDrift wearable is a thermal headband that cools the forehead to promote calmness and better sleep. In 2017, the company filed a patent application for the technology, which senses whether the user is awake or asleep and uses sleep data to adjust the temperature accordingly. The headband was most recently tested on menopausal women and veterans with positive results, making it a valuable candidate for SleepScore's portfolio of recommendations.
SleepScore itself does not patent technology; however, the company has endorsed various products ranging from mattresses to sleeping masks. The Magic Number patent radian may give a hint to other inventions SleepScore can look into.
