Honeywell has a fairly large stake in published recent patents here. The majority have been within 2015-2018, possibly as a result of the company’s divestment to quantum computing research, along with its constituent in R&D of this area, Verizon. Its Smart Thermostat is comparable with that of Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s Nest and is easily integrated with other IoT user interfaces for the home.
