Generac Holdings announced on 4/29/2019 that it has acquired Pika Energy, which specializes in innovative battery storage technologies. Two months ago, Generac had also acquired Neurio Technology, whose expertise lies in home energy use. This series of acquisitions may be Generac's plan to tap into the intelligent home energy management market while building its patent portfolio. Neurio has shown a modest amount of activity in the Energy Financial Settlements sector since 2013, whereas Generac is noticeably absent.
