Honeywell and Denso are combining their expertise to develop hybrid-electric and fully electric powertrains for urban air mobility. Urban air mobility includes air vehicles such as air taxis with on-demand availability aimed at providing more efficient movement for people within cities to improve safety and decrease ground traffic. Honeywell has an extensive aviation hardware and software product portfolio and a couple of patents for battery charge equalization. On the other hand, Denso has decades of experience in developing and producing world-class electrified propulsion units, including traction motors and inverters. Denso's latest patent brings its tally to 18 issued patents in the battery charge equalization sector.
