SunPower Corporation is an American energy company that designs and manufactures photovoltaic cells and solar panels. SunPower's microinverter business was acquired by Enphase in 2018 for a total of $25 million and 7.5 million shares of Enphase stock. SunPower itself continues to partner with Enphase to integrate the newest microinverters produced by Enphase. In 2020, Maxeon Solar Technologies spun out of SunPower and became the exclusive solar panel provider to SunPower.
