Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Japan, Honda is a manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment. Honda has recently teamed up with Verizon and Mcity to research how the use of 5G and mobile edge computing can deliver fast and reliable connected vehicle communication. Honda has been developing a technology called SAFE SWARM™ that enables its vehicles to communicate with other drivers and share information related to speed, location, and sensor data to reduce collisions and improve road safety.
