AI Biotech/Diagnostics: Other Innovation Patent Forecast®

April 11, 2019

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has launched a new initiative that brings major technology companies and health care industry leaders together to examine and set standards for artificial intelligence in health care. The host of companies includes some of the top players in the A.I. Biotech/Diagnostics sector, including Fitbit, Google, Philips, Samsung, and IBM. Their goal is to ultimately enhance health outcomes, improve efficiencies, and reduce health care costs. The patent portfolios of these companies already exemplify the ubiquity of artificial intelligence in the medical diagnostics field, so their discussion is expected to affect not only how data is handled in the future, but also how existing technologies will need to conform to new regulations.
