AI Biotech/Diagnostics: Other Innovation Patent Forecast®

January 16, 2020

Cardiologs, a Paris-based cardiology diagnostics startup, recently announced a $15 million Series A funding round led by Alven. The company previously completed a $6.4 million round in 2017 in addition to pre-seed rounds. Their product, the Cardiologs ECG Analysis Solution, is an AI-based cardiac diagnostics system that is CE-Marked and FDA cleared for the detection of 14 cardiac arrhythmias.

Cardiologs plans to use this funding to accelerate adoption of the ECG Analysis Solutions platform , assisting physicians in analysis and reporting capabilities. Money will further be used to build the platform with more applications and better integration into existing medical systems.

Since their previous fundraising round, Cardiologs has filed at least three new patent applications and had their first patent granted. These relate specifically to a system for processing electrocardiograms and for digitizing electrocardiograms. With the new funding round, it is expected Cardiologs will be looking to expand their portfolio in order to further cement their place in the market.
