That feeling of falling asleep on the beach with the sun on your face is wonderful, but in daily life the lights around us normally keep us awake at night, or at least make us restless. Headwaters is seeking to remedy this with illumy, a sleep therapy mask. The illumy smart sleep mask blocks out annoying lights and provides new lights to help users fall asleep and wake up easily.

Headwaters (dba Sound Oasis) has multiple issued patents for the sleep mask and recently had two more applications published, demonstrating a large commitment to this technology moving forward. The recent patent applications describe a mask with selectable sunrise and sunset illumination modes based on blue and red shifted spectra. Also described are illumination modes which oscillate in a manner corresponding to brainwave frequencies.

The illumy mask was originally funded by an crowdfunding campaign in 2017.
