Purissima captures natural ingredients through well-known biological processes of microalgae. Purissima has a focus on synthesizing molecules found in at-risk species of tropical plants but also has applications for cannabinoid products and is approaching Next Leaf Solutions and CB Therapeutics in patent assets, as of September 2021. In January 2021, Purissima secured funding from AgFunder and has previously received funding from Life Science Angels™ and Band of Angels. Purissima is a resident company of Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
