Pandemics in the age of the Internet allows good ideas to bubble up.  Here's an interesting new way to look at the trajectory for a pandemic and, consequently, the changing risk.  Knowing where your area stands is necessary; knowing where it is headed is as important. By creating a chart of R0 x Active Cases as % of Population and tracking this change, the risk trajectory of the pandemic for an area can be seen.  Cerner Innovation is developing systems to merge data from multiple sources, which is important for impromptu events like pandemics.
